Starting to have a stab at what a player's lifecycle would look like depending on whether they come on board as a SB, App or through recruitment as either a 5*, 4* or 3*. I've assumed these are midpoint ranges and we'd roll a dice to determine what the actual number is - eg: SB High 20 could have a dice roll and end up anywhere from 18 to 22.

High, Medium, Low refers to how important that stat if for a position. eg: SB High would refer to a FH's KCK stat but a P's STR stat.

Questions arising

  • How reasonable do the numbers seem?
  • When do players retire? In MSWL it's when their level goes below 2 but you can't live that principle straight to here because they have 6 stats. Is it when any one stat gets to 20 or below?
  • I've assumed that a SB can reach the same potential as a 5*, as a Coach would need to invest a lot of minutes in him to achieve that. Is that reasonable?
  • I've assumed an APP can reach the same potential as a 3*. Is that reasonable?
  • Should there be a limit on the number of SBs/APPs recruited per season?
  • Would need to consider the impact of any special characteristics or BRBs
  • How do the numbers relate to Excellent, Good and Poor actions?
  • How are the numbers affected by Mango?
