Welling's midfield utterly suffocates everything Boston try to build, and Evan Burns in particular will find it depressingly easy to shut down Javier Diaz before he gets anywhere near dangerous territory. Boston manage a mere eight attacks, which is the kind of attacking ambition I find deeply relatable — why bother, really. A single, joyless goal for the home side, and then everyone goes home slightly emptier than when they arrived, which is all any of us can hope for.
