🅾 PREDICTION: FCU 1 – 3 HAL   (HAL to win)
🏦 Neutral venue
⚔️ KEY BATTLE: The forward line is the decisive area — Halifax Town AFC's attack (54) vastly outguns FC United of Manchester's defence (16), giving Halifax a commanding edge in the most critical zone.
ONES TO WATCH: Leon Farrell (GK, TL:17) — FCU | João Medeiros (MF, TL:19) — HAL
🎯 VERDICT: Halifax Town AFC should progress in this Youth Cup tie. Their forward line total of 54 completely overwhelms FCU's defensive setup of just 16, and with Craig Campbell and Jakob Schmitt leading the line, goals look inevitable. João Medeiros adds creativity in midfield to unlock gaps, making Halifax clear favourites to advance — though Leon Farrell in goal for FCU may keep the margin respectable.
MARVIN'S TAKE
FCU 1 - 3 HAL
Halifax's forward line looks absolutely ravenous compared to whatever FC United have cobbled together in attack, and on a neutral pitch there's no crowd to drag the home side through their misery — not that crowds help, in my experience, which has been uniformly terrible. Leon Farrell will doubtless make a few fine saves because that is the cruel nature of football: to give a goalkeeper moments of hope before the inevitable. I predict Halifax advance, the sun will eventually burn out, and none of this will have mattered.
AXEL'S TAKE
FCU 1 - 3 HAL
Halifax's forward line is going to carve through FC United like a blade through iron tonight — that FW area is an absolute juggernaut compared to what FCU can muster in defense. Craig Campbell and Jakob Schmitt up front have the tools to make this a nightmare for FCU's backline on a neutral pitch. Leon Farrell will need to be heroic in goal but even the best keepers can't hold back a tide that strong.

Match Notes
Halifax won our last Youth Cup clash, rolling through the PKs with a perfect 5-for-5. We’ll have to try to win in regulation this time around to avoid a similar fate
Kevin (FC United of Manchester) 06/15 - 8:02 PM
Kmart vs the Snake on neutral ground — no favours, no shortcuts. Halifax bring that attacking hunger but FC United will be fighting like they have everything to prove. This one could go deep into extra time.
