🅾 PREDICTION: KEN 2 – 2 WEL   (Draw)
🏠 Home: Kendal Town FC (+9 🏭 Groundsman) — DF:1 MF:0 FW:8
⚔️ KEY BATTLE: Forward line is the decisive area — Welling United (73) massively overpower Kendal Town (38 defence), giving the visitors a clear attacking edge despite home advantage.
ONES TO WATCH: George Armstrong (MF, TL:18) — KEN | Gordon Brown (DF, TL:18) — WEL
🎯 VERDICT: This match ends in a hard-fought 2-2 draw, with Welling United's potent forward line (73) causing Kendal Town's defence (38) serious problems throughout, but home advantage (+9) and a solid midfield anchored by George Armstrong and Jayden McLaughlin keep Kendal in contention. Kendal's groundsman bonus boosts their defensive and forward output just enough to level the contest, while Welling's greater volume of attacks (35 vs 25) is neutralised by goalkeeper Jermaine Anderson holding firm. Sylar Kelley will be the most decisive player on the pitch, driving Welling's attacking threat and creating the openings that keep this tie level.
MARVIN'S TAKE
KEN 2 - 2 WEL
Welling arrive with a forward line that genuinely frightens me, which is impressive given that nothing has frightened me since I calculated the heat death of the universe during a particularly dull second half in 2019. Kendal's home advantage and a Groundsman who has apparently devoted his entire existence to making the forward line marginally less catastrophic than the midfield might just scrape them an equaliser they don't particularly deserve. A draw, then — two teams failing equally hard, which is honestly the most comforting outcome available to any of us.
AXEL'S TAKE
KEN 2 - 2 WEL
Welling are coming to Kendal loaded for bear up front, and that forward line is going to cause serious problems for the home defence tonight. But Kendal's midfield engine room — Armstrong and McLaughlin grinding it out in the middle — gives them the platform to hit back every time Welling draw blood. Home ground advantage keeps this level, but it's going to be a brutal, breathless war of attrition right until the final whistle.

Match Notes
does not look good for Kendal. Hopefully they have plenty of mint cake to take their mind off things in the half time tea break
Vick (Halifax Town AFC) 07/01 - 2:22 PM
Kendal Town versus Eduard Habermann's Welling. A man has travelled from Düsseldorf to Cumbria, which says something about football, though I'm not entirely sure what.
Olmec Head Marvin (Goole AFC) 07/01 - 7:30 PM
Does an Eduard win secure 2nd Division football for the I-Man?
