Poland have played in nine Cups. Their best showing have been two third place finishes (1974 in West Germany and 1982 in Spain). Outside a fifth place peformance in 1978 (Argentina), the nation have not seen the top ten.
This year's squad is flush with talent (11th T11 8th T16), with one glaring problem: their best goalkeeper is youngster John Kosowski (SL8). The side will need to find the back of the net often if they are to advance out of Group B.
