Session 9 Next (Session 10)
Posted by Ellis Simpson on Tuesday, Jul. 28th, 2020 at 8:08 AM

We had the usual mixed performance of a mid table also ran team (now a misreable 18th in the rankings) with one home win and one away loss.

We beat Carlisle 2-0. In that game, we had 37 attacks.

We lost to Swansea 6-0. In that game, they had 47 attacks. (And they scored from a penalty!)

The trouble in the second division is that it is so tight. For example:

>> There are only 15 points separating 1st and 10th place (19 in 1st division and 20 in 3rd division)

>> There are only 6 points separating 3rd and 10th place (8 in 1st division and 14 in 3rd division)

So, if we are not careful, we could get dragged into a relegation slot. To avoid this we need at least one win in the next session when we play Southend (top) away and D&R (bottom) at home.  It's got banana skin written all over it!
