Coach Habermann presented Starkville's new next gen stars, OH Simon Barnes and MB Jordan Flynn, in front of a major enthusiastic crowd - mostly asking for babies, shirts or both.

These freshmen will be the keys to "Project Starkville". They might not look too impressive now, but that is not the "Starkville Way".

"While many other teams just look at numbers, we look at deeper skills - and these two have deep skills galore! Along with breakout sophomores S Carroll and MB Mordecai, they represent the Bloodhounds' future - and it's a bright future, indeed."

A third MB freshman was notably absent.

Asked about this, the coach, well known for his Southern charm, stated: "This guy has a difficult time adjusting to the Bloodhounds' level of play. When, and if, he does, he might see some playing time, backup probably. Time will tell."
