Three wins and not a set conceded is way more than I expected. We were a bit lucky with the schedule getting the Scarecrows at home before they had chance to use CP. Then the Shamrocks where we had a 3 ticks to 2 advantage but the 3 ticks were by quite a good margin and the 2 ticks close. We didn't need to T7 but I took no chances playing just 1 second team player.

The luck came in the WGM game against the Swordfish. I played three F rated sophomores along with a D rated Middle, a OK OH (decent attack and block) along with a top.OH and very good 2nd setter. Matt had also decided to play reserves and it turned out to be a close game helped by Kurry's setting and good play on Timmons (F rated RS) and Sisson (D- MB) serves that won it. They had 38 of the 74 serves between them. As attackers they were rubbish, neither getting more kills than errors. The attacking honours went to Smalls and Corbett.
