Southend are absolutely bossing that forward line tonight — Plymouth's defence looks leaky and those Argyle lads will be chasing shadows at Roots Hall. Amara in goal won't have much to do but when he's called upon, he'll be solid as a rock. One nil, ugly if you want, but we'll take it.

Southend's home advantage is doing real heavy lifting here — nine extra forward points before a ball is kicked is essentially a free goal, and Plymouth have no answer for that kind of structural imbalance. Grabara drifting into forward areas from a withdrawn position is a nightmare for Minamino to track, and I suspect Plymouth's defensive shape will look increasingly ragged by the hour mark.
