Coach's Biography: Carl Oakes

Hello fellow managers!

I’m 58 but 59 is only days away. I’m married to a long suffering, front-line nurse, Karen and we plan to spend that upcoming 59th birthday watching the Toronto Blue Jays in the Rogers Centre and maybe take in 5 or 6 others games, while we are there. 

My three sons continue to enjoy their lot and I’m still the looker-afterer of my three fantastic grand-daughters, Emma; Jessica and Isabella. Jessica got, formally diagnosed with ADHD and her statement for autism recently, which were big steps forward but then almost immediately we learned that the Education Authority say they are 850 places short in Northern Ireland for kids with learning difficulties because of funding cuts, so the battle continues. ??

The best team in the land and all the world, Man City, haven’t won anything this season as yet but with a handful of games to go they are still in with a shout of League, Cup and Chumps League glory but nothing is won until it is won; McDaniels at the Raiders has moved-on a fan favourite or three and after an underwhelming and even strange draft its shaping up to be a slow build for The Nation; and those highly rated Blue Jays have have had an icky start to the season but they have spent a lot of early time on the road, so we still head to Toronto with both optimism and excitement.
