🅾 PREDICTION: OLA 1 – 1 CRE   (Draw)
🏠 Home: Oldham Athletic AFC (+9 🏭 Groundsman) — DF:0 MF:0 FW:9
⚔️ KEY BATTLE: Forwards vs Defence is the decisive battle — Crewe Alexandra's attack (FW:59) significantly outguns Oldham Athletic's defensive line (DF:42), giving Crewe the clear edge in the most critical area.
ONES TO WATCH: Timothy James (GK, TL:17) — OLA | Olivier Havet (FW, TL:17) — CRE
🎯 VERDICT: This match ends in a 1-1 draw despite Crewe Alexandra dominating possession and generating 17 attacks to Oldham's 10. Oldham's home advantage partially offsets Crewe's attacking superiority, particularly the +9 forward boost from the Groundsman, helping Timothy James hold firm in goal. Olivier Havet will be the standout performer, leading Crewe's relentless forward pressure and likely accounting for their equaliser.
RAY'S TAKE
OLA 1 - 1 CRE
Crewe are throwing bodies forward all night and that +9 home advantage for Oldham in forward areas is the only thing keeping them in it. Timothy James between the sticks has got to be absolutely immense — Crewe's 17 estimated attacks will test him repeatedly. Backs to the wall, grinding out a point — that's Blyth Spartan DNA right there, even when it's not us playing.
MARCUS'S TAKE
OLA 1 - 1 CRE
Crewe come in with notably more attacking threat and Havet will give Oldham's backline a difficult evening — but Timothy James in goal has quietly been one of the more reliable keepers at this level, and I expect him to keep the damage to a minimum. The home advantage helps Oldham grind out something, though their forward output is frankly underwhelming for a side playing in front of their own supporters. A draw feels about right — neither side deserving more.

Match Notes

Cautious Carl making the trip from Lisburn with his checklist and his allergies. Antoine will be fine as long as he doesn't expect Crewe to actually attempt anything.

Well that semi surprised me. Oh er matron!
~ Carl ~ Jun 21 (Crewe Alexandra FC)
I must admit I'm surprised we've made it to the semifinals. We've made one coaching mistake after another this season, and Olmec certainly isn't on our side.
