Yes, his grade had been inflated by his +1 Fit.  If you look at my RS, Regan, you can see his effective grade exceeds his potential because of the impact of Fit. 

I would coach him in ATK, RCV and SRV.  If you play him 2 times a session you should get enough XP to coach BLK as well, but definitely enough for DEF.    If you only have enough for 2 coaching slots, then ATK/RCV and then XP on which ever skill you fancy.

Brian, he's a B+ now because of FIT. Add CP on everything apart from SET and he's B+ at the start of next season without FIT and probably A- with FIT. +1

His effective overall skill rating of 82 and grade includes FIT +1 which adds 5.5 points to skill.

Coach everything but SET (which adds 0 to OH) and his skill rating is 82 without FIT (potential). Get him to FIT +1 and he'll be 87 or 88 (not sure how rounding is calculated.
