So will Kendal be celebrating back to back premier league titles like Man City this year and who might be up to stop them?
1st KENDAL - It is hard to see them being beaten to the title this season with such a formidable defence and midfield and one of the leagues star keepers in Heskey. They do perhaps need a little more experienced firepower up front, but with over £4K in the bank to spend this can be bought. Given they already have a T11 of 11.82 it is hard not to see them as favorites.
2nd SHEPSHED - If anyone is going to stop Kendal then Shepshed are the team to do it with a T11 of 11.73 and £4K in the bank still to improve on that. With quality in the squad all round they probably don't even need to spend a penny though. They also have last seasons top keeper Schmitz with a save percentage ratio of 83.5%.
3rd CARLTON - I quite fancy Carlton giving it a go this year for their first league title. They have a nicely balanced squad with good depth and a T11 of 11.55. A little more firepower and they have a very good chance of pulling off a surprise this season.
4th BURTON - Another team with a massive £4K warchest and a nicely balanced strong squad. They need to dip into the warchest to get some star quality though to challenge the top two.
5th YORK - With a T11 of 11.64 and one league title behind them. York are quite capable of mounting a credible title challenge. They may have a weak midfieldbut with a five man attack and such a strong defence does it really matter! Bringing through an apprentice Sweeper might hinder their chances so their youth cup run is going to be a key factor in their success this season.
6th MOSSLEY - Fast becoming the team to be scared of, Mossley are positioned to establish themselves as a top tier powerhouse, but the T11 of 11.27 does need strengthening especially the over-reliance on Kelly and Mason up front. The main desperation though is to get a decent sweeper. Hills is never going to make the grade and young Beerman can not yet be relied upon. Trying to bring through schoolboy Steven at the same time is questionable. Splashing out on some experience on the options available in Auction 3 might be a more sound option.
7th DROYLSDEN - It's unlikely that Droylsden will be title contenders this year, but they should have enough about them to stay in the division and avoid relegation, despite having the lowest T11 in the division and a small squad. Like Mossley they could do with a sweeper upgrade and another striker.
8th WIMBLEDON - Could this be the season when one of the unholy trinity get relegated from the top flight. It is certainly looking precarious for Dave Dohm's boys. They have a formidable attack and midfield, but a shaky looking defence and aged keepers and sweepers. Rodriguez looks a good keeper in the making, but might struggle early on in the season and some good early results will be needed to build his confidence. Bringing through an apprentice sweeper at the same time will only add to the pressure of a good youth cup run or relegation could be on the cards even with a T11 of 11.55. The cash is almost spent though.
9th CHIPPENHAM - Did well to get promotion last season but are perhaps the least well equiped of the teams that came up to survive in this flight. The squad do not have much depth, although they do have a T11 of 11.36 and some cash to spend still. Bringing through an apprentice keeper is likely to be too much strain on their travels and they will need some good home form to survive.
10th WELLING - They have a decent T11 rating of 11.45, but lack some serious depth in th squad and no cash left to do much about it. Ideally they would like to add at least one more attacker to help Baily and O'Donnell. The struggle to bring through an apprentice keeper is likely to be the nail in the coffin.

Oh dear, a tip for a top placing. Now that's tempting fate! Lack of forwards in the auction makes recruitment somewhat challenging, too.

Geez - 6th place in the rankings. I was thinking I had done the hard job, just getting 2 promotions. This season take a relegation but try harder in the Cups, and train to get promotion the following season. What expectations on our shoulders... :-)

7th is a logical prediction for Droylsden. I may be wrong, but I believe we have finished in that position more often than any other. Whether it's an accurate prediction remains to be seen.

David has this former 3rd division team that he took over ready to compete! :-)

Half way through the season and the top 5 in the prediction preview are currently all in the actual top 5! Kendal and Shepshed are neck and neck at the top followed by York, Carlton and Burton. York in particular are doing well beating both Burton and Shepshed so far and the Shepshedwin an away win at that! At the bottom Welling are just clear of the relegation slots so good for them, whilst Mossley take their place. Chippenham and Wimbledon fill the other two relegation slots. Is Manager Dohm looking worried considering they are now actually bottom of the pile with only 1 league win to their name?
