Despite playing the game for a few seasons now, one of the things I had not picked up upon was that all the cup finals are not played on neutral territory and that for the AP Cup and FA Shield, one team has home advantage (which lets face it is a big advantage!). My view is that it seems a bit harsh on one club to suffer like that. Getting to a final is hard enough and I think that all the finals should all be played on a neutral ground and level playing field. This year I had an away final in MSWL 1 and a home final in MSWL 2, so was not particularly disadvantaged, but I did feel a little bad about the advantage in the MSWL 2 final. It was not such a noble victory based on the efforts of my team and tactics on the day. So, I was wondering what the historical reason was that the cups were set up in this way and also wondered if anyone else would prefer them changed and played on a neutral ground (if that was possible).
Hence the cheeky little poll attached to this!

I would be OK with a home/away situation if it was based on some merit, but I believe it just random choice, correct?
