If you could add one thing to U1 or U2, what would that be?
It can be anything. Maybe it is as simple as you'd like me to be nicer to Ian (doing that would waste the series of posts I have from an earlier league called "did Ian have the worst logo in the history of the MSWL?")...so maybe not that one.
But maybe there's something you want to see done differently or an enhancement. It could be something you've already mentioned that I've dragged my feet on. on.
Thanks!

I made my ideas over in MSWL U1. Go check them out! =)

I’d put a maximum limit on the GK and SW skill levels. In my opinion the challenge in United is to employ the formation against your opponent’s predicted formation that you think will gain you more shots than your opponent. It is frustrating to achieve such an objective only to be thwarted by big GK/SW barriers. My suggestion would be that GK and SW skill levels be capped at 15.

Oddly for me but I have nothing to request!
Do I get the prize for most pointless response ever?

You do Craig! 5k towards your participation bonus! lol

Copying over my post from MSWL U1 per Al's suggestion..
I have a couple ideas.
* more variation in BRBs, but a cap in how many you can have on a team (there's no reason for every team to not have all 6 BRBs each season, so there's really not much of a difference they make if every team has one). If we had maybe 2 or 3 more types of BRBs, but then capped the max each season at, say, 5 - it would force teams to choose and strategize, adding variety to the leagues.
* a simple strategic addition... we have loaded FW line, or OST as the 2 main strategies. I don't really see PFD really ever helping, but it is also a strategy. I find myself wishing for some of the strategic options of MSWL, but having it somehow fit into the simple and straightforward nature of MSWL U.

My United 1 comment was the ability to retrieve previously entered lineups into the current order page.
I also kinda miss the old chat room, but I think the novelty of that wore off and it fell into disuse.

Oh. And the MSWL reunions were fun. Ian traveled over a couple of times. Saw Kevin and I play softball. Played a little soccer in Al's backyard. Ian was the only non-American in the game and he was on my roster...FAIL. How could I go wrong with the Englishman on my team? Of course, If I recall correctly Al's back yard was all slopey and crooked so my team was uphill all game. And there was construction in the backyard so the gameplan to score a goal looked like a bunch of Z's and W's strung together. Then every time we went out for ice cream Mr. Lindsay is like, "I forgot my wallet." Again? Did you forget it all the way back home in the Lake District? And Ian got to ride with me in my Saturn, which was eventful. It was only a 15 minute ride to the train station but every crazy traffic event in the history of our little town happened that day.
So...let's do a reunion.

I'm just gonna post this little note here for 5k because that last post was worth waaaaaay more than 5k.

MSWL is one of my favorite games so no need really to change much. - but there is always room for improvement or little tweaks to freshen things up. Partly I am inclined to agree with Stewart that the big GK/SW combos towards the end of the season are maybe too powerful. You can rain in bucketloads of shots against them and still not score leading to the inevitable penalty shoot outs in cup final matches (I suppose you are at least on the edge of your seat for thoes games and get your money´s worth from the vidprinter when the results of the pk kicks come in!)
One tweak I would like added is that the longevity of our favorite players is short (and naturally I understand the reason for this) and it would be nice to get a small chance to keep some of them around longer, which could be done perhaps by the top goalscorer in each league not suffering any ageing effects that year and maybe something similar for a defender in the team that concedes the least goals. I don´t think a handful of players not ageing would unbalance things too much and give teams a little something on the side to aim for.

I'd definitely visit/annoy Al/Phil in the US if I ever get to go....and play football too (that's the proper football not the US version :) )

I have no idea on the detail of how it would work but some sort of wage structure would be good. You would have to pay top K (whatever that means) for strong players and it could also be set up to "target" key positions. That way if a manger wanted a superstar keeper she/he would have to balance that with the knowledge it would reduce their spending power.
