I can't remember what the initials stand for, but I thought it represented the number of times the player had been coached.....
Following on from that, I thought the max times a player could be coached is 3 per season...
If so, I have seen at least one player who has RSD 4
Of course, I could be completely wrong :)

RSD stands for "Raised." It is the # of times the SL has gone up.
Schoolboys can go up 3 RSD in a season. Every session they play or get youth coached, they get one "QNL" - Qualified for Next Level. Three QNL for a Sby turns into 1 RSD.
Apprentices can go up 5 RSD in a season. Every session they can play twice or get a youth coach slot and play once. Each gets them up to 2 QNL per session. 4 QNL = 1 RSD.
Age I players can go up 5 RSD. Each through spending CP on the SL.
All others players (age II+) can go up 3 RSD, also through spending CP on SL directly.
