![]() | World Cup beer prices Posted by |
I read an article the other day saying the price of a pint of budweiser at some of the stadiums was over $17 and it´s questionable if budweiser can even be regarded as beer so I thought I would do a little research on the topic.(and give you all a chance to vote on which stadium is charging the most for a pint). I think the $17 dollar price may have been exagerrated, but even so....

bonus points for anyone guessing the right price and guessing which stadium is the cheapest!

I'll take a picture of the menu for you when we go to Bosnia - Qatar on Wednesday 😜

But I can give you intel this week from Philly (France-Iraq) and LA (US-Turkiye).

I might be giving you a hint here but if you are off to the SoFi take a fat wallet!

How does $17 compare with normal bar prices Stateside?

That's about twice the normal bar price, although it depends on the bar and the beer.

In Philly, Budweiser is $18.58 and craft beer is $20.85.

So it's twice the price for a bar... BUT... that's actually not far off the normal prices for in stadiums outside of the World Cup. Gilllette stadium (what's being touted as the Boston stadium) is like $12-14 US. Fenway Park (baseball) is about $10-14. You're a captive audience with no other alternatives if you want to drink beer, so they baseically charge whatever they can get away with.
