I was just wondering seeing as I'm now rock bottom of division 2 but through to the semi's of the AP cup. Do you think you can have a good cup run as well as still getting good results in the league? I seem to play my T11 in my cup games so then I'm left to put all my youth into my league games and I get nothing, I mean I expect not to do too well with just left overs but there must be a way of having the best of both worlds?

It takes a lot of depth, and a good amount of luck. I usually seem to do well in one or the, other, but never both. If you look at a Alon in MU1, he ALWAYS does well at everything... the man just has the golden horseshoe I guess.
In MU1 *this* season, my Plymouth Squad has managed to reach the semi-finals of both the FA and AP Cups, and I sit 4th in the 2nd division. I do think that I have a chance at promotion and and advancing to at least 1 Cup final... we'll see how it goes though.

I never seem to be able to do well and thats probably because both of my teams lack depth very much! Alon is just generally great at everything and just wins! Well good luck with both cups in MU1 as i'm out of both of them after a shocking seesion the one before last!

I haven't found the solution yet. If I concentrate on the league, we've generally done ok, but when I've tried to do well in the Cups, we've struggled in the league and still got knocked out of the Cups.
I suppose if you have enough resources (GPP's for example) you could spread your youth players over as many games as possible (rather than forfeiting the game where you play all your youth) and replace the lost levels with GPP, hardness, HA etc
The best bet is to ask that bloke who everyone loves to hate, he does pretty well :)
