Looks like being a hotly contested season in the Second Tier. So many good clubs and hard to choose a winner. Even pointless Swidon with the lowest T11 of 10.82 is still i with a shout.
FC United of Manchester - Stand currently unbeated at the top of the table and have a T11 of 12. Currently they are looking good as a promotion bet as they are in good fearly season form However, they do still need a reserve sweeper and not much cash left in the bank. They also have an app keeper on the books to develop. Otherwise good squad depth and a forward line capable of blowing any other team away.
Odds; Evens
Luton - Have a top T11 of 12.27 and look as if they could be unstoppable this year as they also have a big war chest to dip into if they can find another quality player or two in the auctions. They do have an app sweeper to develop as the only apparent weakness in the squad, but have a top keeper between the sticks in Hayden Barnes with a 90% save percentage. Last season despite 19 clean sheets his save % was only in the seventies, so he is prone to an off day. Other managers will be hoping!
Odds: Evens
AFC Rushden and Diamonds - Also have a top keeper in Kevin Hawkins, a T11 of 12 and talented squad full of depth, especially in attack. They are also trying to bring through a reserve sweeper, but otherwise look good and are certainly strong promotion contenders. No cash left and no credible reserve keepe, which is a worry if Hawkins gets injured.
Odds 7-4
Boston - Are likely to be there or thereabouts with a T11 hovering just below 12 and enough cash in the bank to edge it over.Defensively they look solid, but needs to bolster the attack to be a credible threat. Developing an app sweeper is once again a small concern for this team.
Odds 3-1
Chasetown - Have a strong attack and it won´t surprise anyone if that´s what they try and do all season. Defensively they may need some reinforcing but they do have the cash to do that still. A reserve sweeper might be handy too, just in case......Another team with a T11 of 12. Be aware!
Odds 5-1
Burton - The T11 is deceptively low at 11.64 and they are clearly trying to fly under the radar as their team is pretty strong all round and has plenty of depth especially up front. They do also have a big wad of monet still waiting to be spent on some quality players if they can find the in the remaining auctions. A reserve sweeper might also be useful.
Odds 7-1
Clevedon - They have a T11 of 12.18 so should not be discounted, but apart from Richards and Captain Banks they don´t have a cutting edge and not enough cash left to sharpen this issue. No reserve sweeper either and app keeper to develop, will make life hard for them this season despite an otherwie sound defense. William Williams is a class act in goal too
Odds 8-1.
Bedford - Look strong defensively although they do also have a sweeper app to develop. Up front they do look a bit sparse though especially with Soler currently sidelined with a nasty injury. There is some cash in the bank and bringing in another Fw could just turn them into promotion candidates as the T11 is decent at 11.73.
Odds 10-1
Evesham - Are orogressing under Manager Aires and are a hard nut to crack sometimes as they have some good defensive players and a top keeper in Adriand Flores with a 100% save percentage this season and four clean sheets already! However, the attack and midfield are in need to a boost although they do have the cash to make this happen. The next couple of auctions will be crucial if they want to achieve this.
Odds 20-1
Swindon Supermarine- Results so far this season have not been good for Manager Blazel and he does have a lot of depth in his squad to play with, but star quality is clearly lacking with a T11 of 10.82, although they do have the cash to improve it. A couple of good buys and their season could really take off. A super keeper to replace the ageing Caron would be the ideal buy, but can they find one?
Odds 20-1

I'll buy these odds. Boston are right below where we'd like to be.

Luton went off the boil, but otherwise the predictions were not bad. Not sure what went wrong with Luton this season as Hayden still kept 16 clean sheets with this session not finished and his save % in the hgh eighties, so clearly Luton´s keeper can not be faulted. Swindon and Bedford are going down as predicted, but Evesham have outperformed expectations. Need something from their last home game against Burton though, as Chasetown and Rushden are breathing down their necks....
