Sponsorships
Posted by Vick Hall on Friday, Mar. 5th, 2021 at 1:19 PM

So how are all the teams faaing in their sponsorship bids this season? Bristol City, Preston and Wycombe are all on course to pick up a nice end of year bonus for not playing any hardness all year whilst Weston,Chesterfield, Port Vale, Dagenham, Hereford and Brighton should all collect too assuming they get their orderss in this last session. Of the clubs which set themselves harder targets congratulations can go out Leeds who are top scorers in their division with over fifty goals and Southend for getting three consecutive league wins including two six nil thumpings against Chesterfield and Wycombe. Brentford also got their three straight league wins early on. Carlisle needed three away league shut outs, but actually got 4. It's a shame the bonus does not increase on the number achieved! Same for Oldham who also needed three away league shut outs but have actually achieved nine . Anyone would think Dave Baath was Jose in disguise!

Just two teams left who might yet get their sponsorhip money if they fulfill the criteria this session Lewes are looking to get a much needed away league shutout against Tranmere, having got three already against Watford, Chesterfield and Forest. Table topping Tranmere though will not be looking to oblige. Forest are also looking for a final session away leaague shut out against Sheffield, having already picked up two against Watford and Chesterfield. Maybe Watford and Chesterfield are just shy of goalscoring in front of their own fans! It certainly has not helped Watford in their quest to have the best goal difference in their divsion either with a current goal difference minus seven!

If any manager thinks they have qualified for their sponsorhip and I haven't mentioned above then let me know!

Vick....I think I only have 2 away shutouts so my sponsorship has been sacked, much like my season! More than likely Tranmere will score early and often so it is a mote point!

whoops yes you are right as I had mistakenly added in your draw against Chesterfield, which was of course a cup match!
