One thing would it make sense to have group runners up in different half of the draw to the group winners?  You can still get two from the same group playing in the round of 16. 

Ideally  Group winners of A-D would play the runners up of E-H, but seeded as in the table?  Or is that a whole new level of complexity.  If so the above looks great!
