The Bees Badge is a pretty cool thing these days, but as you can see has had a few mishaps on the way...the one Olmec uses was in fact only used for one season in 1993, although a similar badge had been used in the 1960´s until it was replaced by the one shown here in 1973 and whch lasted until 1975. It was designed by Mr B.G Spencer who got the established date wrong year. When this finally came to the Bees attention they decided to hold another competition to find a replacement, which became the version we see today, although there have been a few upgrades on the design over the last few years. The first badge the club used back in 1893 was a white shield with a wavy blueline and BFC on it, representing the river and the rowing club that first founded the club.
