John, it is an HBO drama & comedy series that just concluded a fourth and final season. If you're familiar with HBO's big shows and like them, I recommend you check it out.
Me neither. Only HBO shows I know are Dexter, True Blood and Game of Thrones.
Other great shows are Sucession, True Detective (seasons 1 & 3), White Lotus, Big Little Lies.
Loved Succession Brian, the ending was brilliant but it was the kitchen scene before that made the finale for me.
Roger - Yes, I agree on both points. The kitchen scene made the ending that much more emotional.
I had just started watching Season 1 when you posted this so did not look at the post until tonight as we have just watched the final episode in S4. I have to say I really rated this show a lot. Very enjoyable. the characters are great and you can´t help liking the kids (most of the time) given how fucked up they all are. Not sure if I liked the ending to be honest, but I would put this up there in my top ten TV shows without hesitation.
Vick - HBO has definitely made some of the best TV shows of all time. The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, Succession, True Detective (Season 1), Big Little Lies, The Wire, The Leftovers, etc.
I would say at least 4 or 5 would be in my top ten.
I have sadly started to do a list. My top 10 has now been inflated into a top 20 and I am struggling to manage that. GoT and Sopranos are both in there along with Succession. The Wire might squeeze in aswell. GoT was mindblowingly fantastic. I had read all the books before and the screen adaptation did not let them down. Most of the time they do, but in this case the books were enhanced by the series!
