Please use this thread to ask any and all questions that pop up in your head about this league. Ask if you don't understand something. Ask for a strategy tip. Ask how SBY/APPs work. Ask for an audit of your roster. You could be a new manager or someone who has played a while and still feels like you could use some tips in an area.

Roger: I don't want to answer for my good friend Alon, but I think if you search google for "Sith Teachings" you'll find some relevant information. ?

Alon is the only individual who knows the Olmec cheat code. You know, something like ⬆️⬆️⬇️⬇️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️?️?️ START

I know you can use checkboxes to remove a bid if you're successful with an earlier one, but is there a way to either add a bid if you're successful or to remove a bid if you're not successful?
Example - If I'm successful with Lot 1, I'd also like to buy Lot 2. But if I don't get Lot 1 I'm not interested in Lot 2.

Oooo conditional auction bids! If I only had a brain....

Brian with a GOLD answer!
Bur for real, I think we ALL want to know the secret to Alon's success.

It would take some ery interesting programming to get it done, and the resulting Auction page might be unweildy, but I think technically Roger's conditional request could be possible.

Roger: There's no way to do that with the current setup. As Rob notes this would be possble to code, and I've just sent Rob the auction code and auction orders page so he can make this happen. ??
Of course I'm kidding, while Rob now has to code it I have not sent him the code...yet.
I'm still kidding...
Seriously...
If you all started a thread and I saw some real scenarios where you'd actually want to do that, please make the case and it could be considered. Anything is possible, but it would take some work to think about how to design this to make it happen. In the original Olmec we had some "conditional" statements that could be added by clicking checkboxed or choosing from drop down boxes (so like If G > 1 then do this; for goals).
We did not do it for auctions. For me, the auction code is one of those things that if I make a change there's a lot of testing needed to make sure I didn't mess up one of the many scenarios.
Recommendation: If this approach looks worthwhile, please create a new forum thread with examples. Like don't give away what you'd do in the current session but say "here's what I would have done in the prior session(s) if this functionality existed". I'd need many examples from different people to understand that this is a high enough percentage scenario to implement.

Hi Al, my issue was squad age balance and it's the first time it's happened in four seasons, so probably not worth going to a lot of trouble on. For completeness though here's the issue:
A casualty of last season's title race was not being able to max out my App GK. I was bidding on an Age 2 GK this session to adddress this slight weakness.
If successful it would mean my now Age 1 GK was not going to get coached up and one of the outfield Age 1 players later in the auction could slot into his space in the squad, If, however, I was not successful I would have wasted a lot of money on a player I wouldn't have the CPs to coach up.
So, being able to bid for the Age 1 outfield players only if I won with my GK bid would have been helpful.
